When will you start to earn money as a poker affiliate?

You will earn money as a poker affiliate – if you do it right and give your projects enough time

Earn money – this is what you want to do as a poker affiliate. Apart from finding out how much money there is to be made from being an online poker affiliate (which is lots), you also want to know how long it will take them to start seeing some action in their affiliate accounts, and some decent action at that. It’s not going to be easy to put a timescale on how much you will be earning and when, because there are simply too many variables to consider. After all, the person that finds a great niche and works hard will obviously earn more money more quickly than someone that doesn’t try hard at all.

However, I think I can safely attempt to give a very rough guide on the money you could possibly earn over a certain period of time. This estimate is based upon a person that targets a decent niche, works hard on creating a new page every day, and also tries to get a new link pointing to their site everyday also. So if you know your stuff and you make a link and a page a day, here is my very rough “earn money forecast”. But just remember, this is no exact guideline, so don’t hold any expectations against what I have to say…

For the first 3 months as an affiliate, you probably won’t see much action in your affiliate accounts at all and won’t earn money. This won’t necessarily be because you are not working hard enough, but because you site will probably struggling to rank well in Google because it is so new. On top of this you will still be in charge of a developing site, and so the first 3 months is going to be like a preparation period for when Google starts to rank you and you get some visitors coming in. So the first stage as a new affiliate is getting over the hump of working for 3 months without really seeing any results. It can be really frustrating but trust me, if you work hard and keep plugging away; you will see results at some point and earn money. This is the breaking point for poker affiliates.

After the 3 month mark you may see the odd real money player and a $100 CPA here and there, they will probably be pretty few and far between but don’t worry, at least you are seeing some action. This is going to be the transational period where you continue to develop your site and expand it further, whilst continuing to get links to help your rankings in Google. So you are pretty much going to be doing the same things as you had been doing for the last 3 months, but now you are going to see a little life in your affiliate accounts, which should hopefully spark a little interest to help keep you going. You earn money – but it will get even better.

After about 8 months or so you should have a very nice site on your hands, with about 200 pages or more and lots of links. By this time Google will start to recognise your site as important, and so they are going to rank you higher for a lot more search terms. You will probably find that some of your smaller pages that have little or no links will also start to rank well because Google is giving more weight to your site in general, and that should put a smile on your face. It’s around about this time that you will start to see some steady action in your affiliate accounts, you now already earn money in a way that allows you to improve your lifestyle. And you may think about developing a new site in a new niche.

By the end of the first 12 months as an affiliate, I see no reason why you can’t be making $1000 a month or more. Sure, you are going to make lots of mistakes as you go along and earn money, but this is all part of the learning curve as you rise up the affiliate ladder. If you work hard and keep plugging away (even after making mistakes) the $1000 target is there to be hit after 12 months, and quite comfortably too. There is no reason why you can’t be earning so much more than this, but it all comes down to how hard you try, and how good your ideas are.

After the 12 months it should just be an upward spiral from there. You should by then know how to make a great poker website, and you can start attacking lots of other niches and creating new authority websites that can generate you a real income. You now earn money in a way that you never thought you could without a “real” job. The only thing that is going to stop you from making more and more money is your motivation to work. With more websites you will have more opportunities to make money, and it won’t be too long before you can start working full time as an affiliate, and earn more money than you have done from any other job. The money is there to be made; all you have to do is go and get it.

On a final note I would like to reiterate that this is just a very rough guideline, as there as so many factors that can affect the amount of money you can make. You may earn far more than the amounts suggested in this article, or you may earn far less. But I can tell you one thing for sure; the harder you work, the easier it’s going to be to make money.
